Four finalists named for CFO

Omaha Public Power District conducted a thorough and extensive search for its next Chief Financial Officer and has identified four candidates.

Meet the Candidates

  • Manjit Cheema, executive vice president and chief financial officer for Axeon Specialty Products, San Antonio, Texas
  • Javier Fernandez, executive vice president and chief financial officer for the Bonneville Power Administration (U.S. Department of Energy), Portland, Oregon
  • Tamela Monroe, division manager of Business Pricing & Analysis and interim CFO for OPPD
  • Kevin Wedeking*, vice president of Producer Services for Gavilon Group in Omaha

*Wedeking has since accepted a position with another company.

Per Board Policy: Board-Staff Linkage 1, Tim Burke, OPPD President and Chief Executive Officer, will make a recommendation to the utility’s board of directors with regards to the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer. He plans to do so at the next board meeting, on Thursday, May 11. OPPD's Board of Directors must approve the compensation of any corporate officer.
