OPPD understands customers sometimes face major setbacks. Whether job loss, unexpected illness or the increasing cost of living expenses, your energy partner is here to help.
OPPD works with customers and agency partners to offer education, weatherization assistance and transition programs to help when you need it most.
Programs We Offer
The EAP provides financial assistance to help cover the emergency energy needs of households located within the 13-county OPPD service area. Applicants receive assistance based on eligibility criteria and availability of funds.
Success of the EAP depends on community partnerships, donations from generous employees and customers, and other fundraising efforts, with 100% of the contributions going to assist residential customers in need.

OPPD customers receive energy assistance from external agencies, as well as OPPD’s Energy Assistance Program, which is funded by customer donations, advertising revenue from OPPD's monthly newsletter, Outlets, and OPPD employees. In 2015, together with our agency partners, $5,371,269 in energy assistance was provided to 12,120 OPPD customer households.
